The Indian National Congress is implementing various nationwide initiatives aimed at strengthening its grassroots connectivity, including campaigns like Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Bharat Jodo Yatra, Samvidhan Bachao, and MGNREGA Bachao. A new organizational initiative, Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, has been launched to further consolidate party structure, announced during a party meeting at the Block Congress Committee in Kakching. Key attendees included MPCC Vice Presidents Vidyapati Senjam and Hareshwar Goswami, General Secretary W. Ratankumar, and other local leaders.
AICC Observer Prafulla Gudadhe emphasized the initiative’s goal of rejuvenating party organization by fostering stronger relationships among members and enhancing accountability. He expressed optimism that this effort would cultivate responsible district leadership and capable grassroots leaders. Additional meetings are scheduled across various blocks to ensure ongoing engagement.
During a separate interaction in the Kangpokpi district, senior leaders discussed strategies for structural reforms, internal coordination, and reconnecting with grassroots workers. They sought feedback from party members on outreach challenges and emphasized discipline and performance-based culture as essential for rebuilding the party. The discussions included plans for block-level restructuring and strengthening the Mahila Congress and Youth Congress units.
