Shortly after being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Manipur, Y Khemchand chaired the inaugural Cabinet meeting of his administration at the Chief Minister’s bungalow. This meeting took place just an hour post-swearing-in and included key attendees such as Chief Secretary Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, Deputy Chief Minister L. Dikho, and newly appointed ministers Govindas Konthoujam and K. Loken Singh. According to an official statement, this meeting symbolized the start of collective decision-making and governance for the newly formed State Cabinet. Additionally, it was announced that four political parties—National People’s Party (6 Members), Naga People’s Front (5 Members), Janata Dal-United (1 Member), and two Independent Members—have pledged their unconditional support to the BJP.
