Citroën India announces that its all-new Basalt, India’s first mainstream ICE SUV Coupé, has achieved a commendable 4-star rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP) safety tests. The Basalt scored 26.19 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 35.90 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP), underscoring its commitment to passenger safety.
Equipped with advanced safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and ISOFIX anchors, the Basalt showcases over 40 active and passive safety features designed for optimal protection. Notably, it is the first SUV in its segment to score full points in Side Crash Protection. “This achievement reflects our dedication to safety and innovation,” stated Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroën India.
