Neiphiu Rio, the chief minister of Nagaland, officially opened the DC’s office complex in the Shamator district today. The offices of the SP, IPR, DYRO, DPO, and Sericulture are all located inside the complex.
“This new facility stands as a symbol of progress, commitment, and our collective resolve to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery,” stated the chief minister. The DC’s Office Complex, which was conceived in 2022–2023 after the Shamator district was inaugurated in March 2022, represents a significant milestone in the development of a fully operational administrative system. Its launch closes important gaps and establishes a solid framework for effective district management.
Strengthening district administration and governance, increasing access to government services, improving interdepartmental coordination, ensuring timely scheme implementation, strengthening revenue, law and order, disaster management, reducing dependency, and promoting balanced socio-economic development are all goals of the office. “I implore all parties involved to assume joint responsibility for the facility’s use and upkeep. Rio said, “May this complex become a hub of effective, open, and citizen-centered governance, bringing in a new era of administration and sustainable development for Shamator.”
