ChatGPT Go Subscription Launches In India At ₹399

OpenAI has introduced a new subscription tier called ChatGPT Go in India, priced at just Rs. 399 per month. This affordable plan is designed to offer enhanced access to key features like higher usage limits, image generation, file uploads, and extended memory—making it a budget-friendly alternative to the more expensive Plus plan. Nick Turley, VP and Head of ChatGPT, shared that India is the first country to get ChatGPT Go, addressing users’ demands for affordability and local payment options. The Go plan offers 10x more messages, image generations, and file uploads, along with double the memory compared to the free plan, making it ideal for students, freelancers, and professionals who need more flexibility without a high cost.

Another key update is the shift to Indian rupee pricing across all plans, eliminating confusion over currency conversions. OpenAI now also supports UPI payments, making subscriptions more accessible. With four tiers—Free, Go, Plus (Rs. 1,999), and Pro (Rs. 19,999)—the Go plan fills a crucial gap, aiming to make AI tools more inclusive and practical for everyday users in India.
