Central Agricultural University, Imphal, a leading agricultural institution in India’s North Eastern Region, is set to host the Agri-Youth Parliament 2026 – North East Bharat from March 21 to 23 at its campus. Organized under the leadership of Dr. Anupam Mishra, the Vice Chancellor, the event aims to foster a collaborative environment for agricultural youth, aspiring entrepreneurs, established innovators, scientists, researchers, and progressive farmers. The goal is to conserve traditional agricultural practices while promoting biodiversity.
The Agri-Youth Parliament will serve as a forum for dialogue and idea exchange, engaging stakeholders in discussions around policy perspectives and capacity building to drive a sustainable agricultural future for North East Bharat. This initiative also aligns with national objectives, contributing toward a roadmap for developing a robust agricultural and economic framework for the region by 2047, the year marking the Amrit Kaal.
Key features of the three-day event include interactive sessions focused on entrepreneurship within themes such as Agri-start-ups and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, accelerating agricultural innovation and technology, enhancing commercialization processes, and fostering farm-to-market value chains. The program will also include opportunities for networking through business interactions with investors, exhibitions by youth-led enterprises, and presentations by experts sharing valuable insights and experiences.
Applications are currently being accepted from youth entrepreneurs, start-ups, innovative farmers, and other interested parties wishing to participate in this significant event. The Agri-Youth Parliament 2026 is expected to inspire a new generation of agricultural leaders and innovators in the North Eastern Region.
