Canara Robeco launches ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’ in Odisha to boost mutual fund awareness

Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited, India’s second-oldest asset management firm, has rolled out its investor education initiative, the ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’, across Odisha. The more than 20-day campaign aims to demystify mutual fund investments and strengthen financial literacy in the state. Beginning in Bhubaneshwar, the bus will cover key cities including Cuttack, Puri, Berhampur, Sambalpur, and Rourkela, engaging with communities through interactive sessions and multimedia tools.

Rajnish Narula, Managing Director & CEO, Canara Robeco AMC, said the initiative reflects the company’s mission to make investment knowledge accessible. “An informed investor not only makes better decisions but also strengthens the broader financial ecosystem. Having already reached states like Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, we are now taking it to Odisha to help citizens simplify investing and embrace long-term planning,” he stated.

In Cuttack, a key commercial hub, the initiative is expected to draw strong participation from traders, professionals, and small business owners. Financial planners in the city say growing investment appetite and rising disposable income make awareness programmes crucial to guide first-time investors and dispel market-related myths. Gaurav Goyal, Head – Sales & Marketing, added, “Through this yatra, we aim to simplify mutual fund investing, offer actionable guidance, and build investor confidence.” The programme underscores Canara Robeco AMC’s continued commitment to fostering inclusion in emerging and underserved communities.
