Cache of Arms and Ammunition Seized in Kakching

Security forces conducted a search operation in the Keirak Awang Loukon Chingol area of Kakching district, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition. The recovered items included an Amogh Carbine with a magazine, two locally made lathode guns, two single-barrel guns, seven tear smoke shells, three tube launching devices, two .36 HE grenades with detonators, 50 rounds of ammunition, 100 empty cases, two IDL explosives with detonators, two helmets, one bulletproof jacket, and two magazine pouches. In a broader security effort, operations continued across districts, resulting in the establishment of 105 Nakas/Checkpoints in both hilly and valley regions, although there were no detentions reported. The movement of 287 vehicles carrying essential goods along NH-37 was facilitated, with strict security measures implemented in vulnerable locations and security convoys provided for sensitive areas to ensure safe movement.
