Alert troops of the 172 bn Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya on Thursday apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals while they were attempting to cross over the IB to Bangladesh from East Jaintia Hills.The arrests were made during a search operation based on specific inputs.
In addition, during several other operations in East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills, a substantial haul of illegal goods was intercepted, including cattle, sugar, blankets, liquor, and other contraband items. The total value of the seized items was estimated at Rs 13.54 lakh.
