Officials from India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Bangladesh’s Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held high-level talks on Tuesday at Border Outpost Mahenderganj in South West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
The meeting, led by BSF Deputy Inspector General Lalit Mohan Sharma and BGB Deputy Director General Sarkar Mohammd Mostafir, focused on enhancing coordination under the Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP). Discussions revolved around reviewing existing security measures and exploring ways to improve cooperation along the shared border.
Both sides stressed the importance of swiftly implementing the newly agreed security protocols to address cross-border challenges more effectively.
