A private bus hit a bike that was coming from the opposite direction while overtaking a government bus. The bike rider died on the spot due to fire. Due to this incident, a shadow of grief has descended on the area. The incident took place in Shikarpur area of Mathabhanga 1st block. It is come to know that the dead person is a resident of Bairagirhat area of Mathabhanga.
It is also come to know that the bike rider was coming from Bairagirhat area towards Mathabhanga on his daughter-in-law’s motorcycle, while a private bus coming from Shikarpur area hit the bike and crushed it for some distance, the bike caught fire. The biker died in this incident.
After the incident, the police went to the spot and recovered the dead body and brought it to Matabhanga mortuary for post-mortem and it is also said that the killer bus has been seized. Besides, the driver of the killer’s car absconded after the incident.
