Bhuvan Bam Takes Over as GIRF 2026 Ambassador with BB Ki Vines Twist

Swiggy Limited has launched the 2026 edition of its Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF), positioning it as one of the country’s largest dining-out campaigns. The two-month festival, beginning February 15, 2026, will offer up to 50% off across 40,000 restaurants in more than 60 cities. The company has onboarded Bhuvan Bam as ambassador, integrating characters from BB Ki Vines into the campaign narrative.

Branded under the theme “Bill Half. Party Full.”, the festival targets higher consumer frequency and incremental revenue for restaurant partners. In addition to flat discounts, diners can avail an extra 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank cards and receive 10% back as Dinecash on bookings via Dineout. The campaign will run across digital, social and creator ecosystems, supported by in-app integrations and promotional storytelling.

Participating brands include Cafe Coffee Day, Barista, Good Flippin Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, Krishnapatnam, Biergarten and Ironhill, among others.

In Kolkata, a key eastern market with strong dining culture across Park Street, Salt Lake and New Town, the festival is expected to drive significant footfalls, especially in premium casual dining and bar segments. Industry observers say value-led campaigns could stimulate weekday demand and improve table occupancy amid rising input costs in the hospitality sector.
