An architect from Uttar Pradesh, working in Dubai, has been named the first winner of a new mega prize in the UAE and will receive over Rs 5.5 lakh per month for the next 25 years. Mohamned Adil Khan was named the mega prize winner of the FAST 5 draw at a press conference held on Thursday, daily English-language newspaper Gulf News reported.
Khan, who works as an interior design consultant for a real estate company in Dubai, will receive D25,000 (559,822) per month for 25 years after winning the lottery.
Khan says he is grateful for the win and says it comes at a very important time. “I am the sole bread earner of my family. My brother died during the pandemic and I am supporting his family. I have elderly parents and a five year old daughter. So the extra money comes at the right time,” he said.
Khan said he was pleasantly surprised by the news. “I told my family too and they couldn’t believe it either. They asked to check the news twice for its authenticity,” he said.
