Authorities Conduct Disaster Management Mock Exercise Over Two Days

The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) of Chumoukedima, Nagaland, has scheduled a Mock Disaster Management Exercise on February 23 and 24 as part of its disaster preparedness activities for the fiscal year 2025–26. Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the DDMA, Polan John, stated that the exercise will take place in two phases. The first phase, a Table Top Exercise, is set for February 23 at 11 am in the DC Office Conference Hall, followed by the main Mock Exercise on February 24 at 11 am at the Chumoukedima Village Ground. The objectives of this mock drill include enhancing inter-departmental coordination, evaluating emergency response mechanisms, and improving community preparedness for potential disaster situations. Participation is mandated from various line departments, including security forces, health officials, and local village authorities. The Deputy Commissioner has emphasized the importance of collaboration from all involved departments and agencies to ensure the successful execution of the mock exercise.
