Assam Rifles organized an event titled ‘A Day with Company Commander’ at Kwatha Village in Tengnoupal District, aimed at fostering trust, unity, and friendship between the troops and the local community. The day’s festivities commenced with a spirited volleyball match that encouraged camaraderie and healthy competition among Assam Rifles personnel and villagers. This was followed by engaging activities for children, including a lively tug-of-war which taught teamwork and discipline, and musical chair games that involved women and children, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and inclusiveness.
Approximately 110 villagers participated in these activities, which underscored the goodwill and warm relations shared between the Assam Rifles and the local community. A prize distribution ceremony further recognized the contributions of all participants, reinforcing the collective spirit of the event.
Central to the day’s program was an interactive session with the villagers, which focused on the concepts of collective responsibility and cooperation in addressing border-related challenges that impact peace and security. This dialogue was crucial in underlining the significance of unity and trust between the security forces and the local population, emphasizing the role such relationships play in maintaining stability in sensitive border regions.
