A Certificate and Appointment Distribution Ceremony for the Security Guard Training Programme was held at the Assam Rifles Skill Development Centre in Imphal. Organized by the Homeland Institute of Security Management and supported by the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), the event celebrated the successful completion of the training by 50 participants. During the ceremony, 47 trainees received their certificates and appointment letters, while three trainees from the Kuki community were placed in Pune.
The training aimed to equip unemployed youth from Manipur with essential skills for the security sector, which included physical training, security operations, fire safety, first aid and CPR, emergency response, and surveillance awareness. This comprehensive curriculum was designed to meet industry expectations and prepare the trainees for national-level roles.
Since January 2026, the institute has trained and placed a total of 63 security personnel across India, highlighting the program’s effectiveness in fostering sustainable employment opportunities. The ceremony emphasized the significance of discipline, professionalism, and integrity in the security field, as well as the vital role of skill development in empowering local youth and generating employment in Manipur.
