On Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke on Assam Police force initiative to make best force for the state, Assam by 2026. Measures are taken to remove black sheep or the dead wood from the team.
“Our effort is to shape Assam Police as a people-friendly force. However, it is easier said than done since the force has got alienated from the masses while dealing with insurgency,” the Assam CM said.
Additionally, the state government has given importance to strengthening forensics and DNA fingerprint facilities.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke more about the initiatives taken to improve and strengthen the Assam Police force. He also said 90% of the insurgency issues are solved now.
