Assam class 9 students were distributed bicycle at a programme by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma so that, students can reach on time to school. During the programme he said that in two years, the cycle distribution programme will be done at the Class-8 level.
According to the sources, Sarma has also said that the state government is planning to provide two-wheelers for the teachers working in remote areas.
The CM said, “There are some schools which are in remote areas and teachers get late in reaching due to the location. We can give two-wheelers to about 50,000 such teachers so that they reach school on time.”
Further, the CM also urged to inform if there is any road or bridges that needs to get repaired or needed so that both teachers and students can easily reach on time to school.
