A sub-inspector graded officer of the state police, serving with the Sivasagar Sadar station, has been inactive for allegedly “outraging the modesty” of a girl. The defendant sub-inspector – Rupjyoti Doley – allegedly sexually molested a girl, who was brought for questioning at the Sivasagar Sadar station in state.
The defendant state police sub-inspector was inactive when the victim lady lodged associate FIR against the cop at an equivalent station. Confirming the event, Superintendent of Sivasagar police in state – Subhrajyoti Bora said: “Based on a grievance from a girl, who was delivered to the station in a during in associate exceedingly in a very case within which she is an defendant, we’ve got inactive associate SI on the night of New Year’s Eve when the native level enquiry indicted him of outraging modesty of a girl.”
