A team from the Spearhead Division under Indian Army’s Spear Corps responded swiftly to recover a civilian vehicle that fell about 60 metres down a steep slope in Basar district of Arunachal Pradesh. Official sources said the Bolero pickup vehicle, owned by one Amar, plunged into a steep slope, before settling precariously near a residential structure. “Owing to timely intervention, no casualties were reported, averting a major tragedy,” a statement issued by PRO Defence on Tuesday said. In a demonstration of operational readiness, a dedicated team comprising a junior commissioned officer and four other ranks, supported by a heavy-duty recovery vehicle, was immediately mobilised to the site. “Despite difficult terrain and adverse conditions, the team executed a safe and precise recovery of the severely damaged vehicle through meticulous planning, coordination and sustained effort,” it said.
