Amidst a global stock market collapse, the Sensex drops 360 points, and the Nifty closes below 17,000

Due to a sell-off in financial, Technology, and capital goods shares amid a worldwide stock market crash brought on by persistent concerns about the banking crisis, the benchmark Sensex dropped by 360 points and the Nifty finished below the 17,000-level on Monday.

The 30-share BSE Sensex lost 360.95 points, or 0.62 percent, to conclude the day at 57,628.95 as 23 of its equities finished in the red. Before regaining some of its losses towards the fag end, the index plunged more than 900 points, reaching a low of 57,084.91.
