Amazon has announced a 50% waiver on referral fees for new sellers joining Amazon.in from August 27 to November 4, 2023, as part of its commitment to making the festive season successful for sellers in the North East and across India. The waiver is valid for 60 days from the date of joining and aims to incentivize new sellers, help them build a customer base, and establish a foothold in the competitive e-commerce market by reducing upfront costs.
Amazon has also introduced a referral program called the “Great Indian Referral Offer,” where sellers can refer their friends to sell on Amazon.in and receive rewards worth up to INR 11,500. The company has also introduced technological initiatives such as a Simplified Registration Process, Sale Event Planner, and New Seller Success Centre to make online selling easier and more successful for sellers.
Additionally, Amazon will conduct LIVE training for new sellers, providing them with knowledge on listings, shipping, prime, deals, and coupons.Gaurav Bhatnagar, Head of Seller Acquisition and Development at Amazon India, said, “With over 11,000 sellers from North East selling on Amazon.in, our focus remains on making online selling easier and more productive for them.”
