During his visit, Khemchand also engaged with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding support for regional infrastructure development, and received approval from Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the construction of 5,000 houses for displaced families, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin. Discussions also included meetings with other ministers like Nirmala Sitharaman and Rajnath Singh, focusing on financial health and cooperation for state initiatives.
