Ajay Devgan, R Madhavan and Jyothika’s ‘Shaitan’ will be available on Netflix from May 4. The film made good collections when it released in theaters on March 8. ‘Shaitan’ earned a total of Rs 149.49 crore.
Announcing the release of ‘Shaitan’ in theatres, Netflix India said, “Close your doors, lest Shaitan comes. Shaitan starts streaming at midnight on Netflix.”
‘Shaitan’ is a remake of Gujarati film ‘Vash’. Ahead of the film’s release, the CBFC has suggested some modifications with the cut. The trailer hinted that ‘Shaitan’ revolves around black magic. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the censor board asked the makers to add a voiceover that would include a disclaimer that ‘the film does not endorse/support black magic’. Director Vikas Bahl was also asked to replace one derogatory word with scream.
