A deal to advance India’s creative economy was unveiled on Wednesday by Amazon India and the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry.
According to the terms of the letter of engagement (LoE), Amazon and the government will work to develop channels for promoting creative talent in India, increase capacity at prestigious film and television institutions, and promote Made in India creative content internationally.
Anurag Thakur, the I&B Minister, Chetan Krishnaswamy, the vice president of public policy at Amazon India, and Gaurav Gandhi, the vice president of Asia Pacific at Prime Video, all saw the signing of the LoE at this location’s National Media Centre.
