Adani Transmission Limited, India’s largest private sector transmission and distribution company, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Environment Management Award’ by the Institute of Directors (IOD) in the Power Transmission sector. ATL has been awarded the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award for its commitment to minimizing its ecological footprint.
The award recognizes ATL’s zero waste to landfill, single-use plastic-free, water-positive operations, renewable energy integration, and best-in-class environmental management strategies. This recognition reflects ATL’s dedication to sustainable practices and its role as a responsible corporate citizen. The award is an encouraging recognition of ATL’s long-term environment-social-governance (ESG) commitment.
This year, an assessment group comprising Environment, Health & Safety, Energy, and Climate Change experts assessed over 520 applications. These applications were later reviewed by an eminent jury committee chaired by Hon’ble Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India and former Chairman, of the National Human Rights Commission of India, and National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms.
