ACC, the cement and building materials arm of the Adani Portfolio, has launched a series of impactful initiatives in Dhanbad aimed at holistic rural development, benefiting hundreds of families across multiple villages. In Chhatatand, Simatand, Bawari Tola, and Kushberia villages, over 100 families now have access to clean drinking water thanks to solar-powered systems installed by ACC. These systems have improved public health and reduced the burden on women and children who earlier had to walk long distances for potable water.
ACC has also supported sustainable agriculture, empowering woman farmer Smt. Chayna Devi of Chhatatand with seeds, training, and solar lift irrigation. Her income has now crossed ₹1 lakh annually, encouraging more women to embrace modern farming.
Further boosting green energy adoption, ACC installed 5 HP solar irrigation systems across 15 acres in Chhatatand and Samlapur villages. This move has helped small farmers save up to ₹30,000 per season and reduce carbon emissions. In collaboration with the Adani Foundation, ACC distributed 281 nutrition kits to TB patients in Baliapur under the National TB Elimination Program, promoting recovery and nutritional awareness. Through these initiatives, ACC reinforces its commitment to inclusive, sustainable development in Jharkhand’s heartland.
