9.5 crore customers visited the first 48 hours of Amazon Great Indian Festival

Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023 saw the biggest opening ever, with 9.5 crore customer visits in the first 48 hours. Prime members shopped 18x more in the first 24 hours of Prime Early Access compared to average daily purchases, purchasing 75+ smartphones per second in the opening hour. Over 80% of customers came from non-metro cities, and over 10 lakh customers received same-day delivery across India.

The event started with thousands of sellers achieving their highest-ever single-day sales, with over 65% of participating sellers hailing from tier 2-3 cities. The most preferred smartphone brands were OnePlus, Samsung, and Apple, with customers purchasing more than 100 OnePlus smartphones every minute in the first 48 hours.

Amazon Pay UPI saw the highest sign-ups in the first 48 hours, with over 35 crore Indians accessing Instant Bank Discount offers on SBI Credit and Debit cards. Customers booked flights across 200+ cities, and hotels across 260+ cities; 2.5x increase in flight bookings compared to last year. More than 5,000 new products were launched across various categories.
