The 35th Annual Yaoshang Sports Meet 2026, organized by the Local Upliftment Committee (LUC) Club, was held at Maibi Lampak in Thiyam Leishangkhong as part of the Yaoshang festival celebrations over three days. The event included a traditional tug-of-war competition, “Thouri Chingnaba Changdam Competition,” featuring 15 teams from different localities under Wangoi Kendra. Distinguished attendees, including former Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh, participated in the closing program, which also saw the distribution of consolation prizes to participants. The finale crowned the Samarou Makha Leikai Meira Paibi team as champions after defeating the Samushang Santipur Meira Paibi team, which took the runner-up title. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, while the runner-up was awarded Rs. 6,000, with both prizes distributed by former Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh.
